Azara is our girl, her
name is originally: Azara de Fildes and she is born on 16 may 2004.
She is from a litter of 5
puppies, 4 boys and 1 girl.
Azara's arrival in our home was a dream come true.
Azara has joined our family in 2004
when her breeder surprised us with a fluffy teddy bear of 6 weeks old. She was a gift from her breeder for us and I can honestly
say that she was the best present I have ever had.
We fell in love with her
instantly. Since then, our Azara has grown and grown... and grown.... She is
now a huge baby of 34 months (measures 75 cm at withers).
Everyone loves Azara and
she knows exactly how to wrap you around her "paw"! Just look into those
lovely brown eyes and you can't refuse her anything!
She adores
people she knows and needs just a little time to adjust to strangers. But
once she welcomes them in her heart, there is no escape possible! Hugs and
eternal adoration will be your part.
Her profuse
coat gives me a lot of work but is a joy to look at.
Azara started her show
career at the age of 9 months and because she's liked it a lot we've
continued showing her ever since. She's always done well and we are really
proud of her.
With Azara we learned a lot about this very old and
beautiful Romanian breed.
Her hobbies are digging holes in the garden, walks in the park and woods, and her
favorite food is cheese !

The breed called Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a very
old breed, spread throughout the country, which was only kept alive due to
the shepherds.
A guard and protection dog for both herd and shepherds, the Romanian Mioritic Shepherd
fits, according to the F.C.I. standards, into Group 1
Sheepdogs and Cattle Dogs (except Swiss Cattle Dogs), Section 1.1 Sheepdogs.
Without working trial.
The general look is that of a large, robust and compact dog,
which inspires strength and demands respect. Despite its impressive size, it
is extremely agile, surprising its opponents by its swift and precise
movements. It is a very hardy dog that survives easily in difficult climatic
and feeding conditions. It is very easy to maintain and easily adapts to
different crowds.
The
Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog
has a calm and friendly temper, but
becomes a fierce guardian when its master or territory are attacked.
Very attached to children and ready to play anytime, it is
cautious with strangers. Its strong personality is no obstacle to its
training and education, but it is the dog of a sole master.
